Composizione Sedimentata (Sedimented Composition):
A Gestural Music Manifesto

Gestural music applied to sedimented composition composes a new approach to musical art. Our work was to layer the spontaneity of gesture by letting the improvisations settle on each other. We thus created the sedimented composition. Here are its milestones:
Gestural music
1. It is not important what you play, but how you play it.
2. It is not important what you play, but why you play it.
3. It is not important how it sounds, but how you play it.
4. The gesture of the body is the sound.
5. Music is not sound but movement.
6. Focus exclusively on movement.
Sedimented Composition:
7. Create multiple layers of improvisation and overlap them.
8. Allow at least one day to pass before laying down a new layer.
9. Do not listen to the previous layer; mute it.
10. Only you are the common denominator of the composition. No time or tone restrictions.
